Terms of Service

The terms, in the same plain english.

This is the legal shape of the same deal described on Community Rules and Safety & Moderation. Where a number appears on both, it is the same number.

Who this is for

You must be 18 or older to hold an account on everydayugc, as either a creator or a brand. Creating an account means you have read this, the community rules, and can agree to both.

The deal

A brand funds the full agreed amount into escrow before a creator starts filming. Rate, deliverables and deadline snapshot at the moment of hire and cannot be revised down afterward.

A brand has five days to review a submitted deliverable. If it does not respond in that window, the work counts as accepted and pays — silence is not a way to avoid paying.

Payment guarantee: if a creator completes what the contract asked for and the brand does not pay, we do. That guarantee does not depend on us recovering the money from the brand first.

Performance, fraud and payouts

Performance pay releases against view counts collected daily from the live post, not a screenshot either side uploaded. Every tracked video is checked for purchased engagement before a performance bonus releases, and flagged views are excluded from the payable count.

We can hold a payout for up to 30 days, only for a specific stated reason, and you are told which. A fraud signal that would withhold money is reviewed by a person before anything is held.

Marketplace money — a brand funding a job, the escrow hold, and the creator payout, including creator identity verification — runs through Whop for Platforms. Brand subscription billing runs through Stripe. We remain the merchant of record for everydayugc transactions. For tax forms: W-8 for creators outside the US is collected in our app; 1099 for creators inside the US is handled by Whop.

Keep the deal here

Do not take a brand or creator you met on everydayugc off-platform for the same work for 12 months after you meet them here. Off-platform there is no escrow holding the money, no verified-view record, and no route to the payment guarantee above.

Breaching this is worth damages of $500, or the value of the circumvented work, whichever is greater.

The numbers, together

Every figure here also appears on Community Rules — this is the same commitment, stated as a term.
5 daysA brand has this long to review a deliverable, or it counts as accepted and pays.
3 monthsApproved content stays public for at least this long. Taking it down early forfeits or prorates the payment.
30 daysThe longest we can hold a payout, only for a stated reason you are told.
60 daysYour window to tell us a payment did not arrive, counted from the date it was due.
12 monthsNo taking a counterparty you met here off-platform for the same work.
$500Damages if that gets breached, or the value of the circumvented work — whichever is greater.
18+Minimum age to use everydayugc. No exceptions.

Conduct

What counts as honest content, earned views, and a legal brief is set out in full on Community Rules, which these terms incorporate rather than repeat.

If a rule gets broken

The same enforcement ladder described on Community Rules, stated here as a term of service.
  1. A warning

What the problem is, and which rule it relates to.

  2. Payment withheld

Only on the specific work affected — anything else in flight is untouched.

  3. Suspension

No applying or posting while it is reviewed. Money already earned on clean work still pays out.

  4. Removal

For fraud, repeated breaches, or anything illegal.

The rest

everydayugc is provided as-is. We work to keep escrow, payouts and the fraud checks described here running correctly, but we do not guarantee the platform is uninterrupted or error-free, and our liability for a failure of the platform itself is limited to the amount actually held in escrow or payable for the specific job affected.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date below rather than edited silently.

Not a lawyer’s draft. The mechanics above are accurate to how the product works today. The remaining legal framing — governing law, dispute resolution, and the precise limitation-of-liability language — has not yet been reviewed by qualified counsel.
